Griya Santrian’s Biweekly Mostly Jazz by the Beach Present Talented Artists

Sanur, 28 September 2016… On one special Sunday evening every two weeks, Griya Santrian delivers a new level of sophisticated jazz event by the beach, Mostly Jazz, with an elegant  dinner jazz. This Good Jazz & Good Company biweekly concert series features some of the most talented artists performing in October and November.

It all happens in a good spot, too. Griya Beach Club, a comfortable, intimate setting facing the Sanur Beach, is the venue. Each evening features jazz performances ranging from pop to jazz style accompanied by a delectable set menu dinner and wine in a cozy beach ambiance.

Together with Sanggar Musik Indra Lesmana, Griya Santrian presents several incredible jazz artists’ performances at our Griya Beach Club. Immerse yourself in the beachfront décor (and delicious drinks) of our venue as you listen to the top list musicians, Indra Lesmana Group featuring artists Tompie (Oct 9), Isyana (Oct 23), Bubugiri (Nov 6) and Trie Utami (Nov 20).

Sunday, 9 October: Tompie

Teuku Adifitrian, singer, MC, and medical doctor is better known as Tompi. Born in Lhokseumawe, Aceh, created a vocal character influenced by traditional Aceh songs and Islamic chanting. Aside from being a song writer, he has made a career for himself as one of Indonesia’s top performer and releasing 9 albums among them My Happy Life (2008), Paris Jakarta Express (2009), dan Tak Pernah Setengah Hati (2010). Currently he joins the famous Trio Lestari, together with Sandhy Sondoro, and Glenn Fredly.

Sunday, 23 October: Isyana

The musician, singer and song writer, Isyana Sarasvati was born in Bandung on May 2, 1993. He hits single Keep Being You made her instantly famous with her unique vocal and won her the award Female Singer of the year & Breakthrough Artists of the year in Indonesia’s Choice Awards 2015. Following the success of her first single, her second single Tetap Dalam Jiwa in 2015 was an equal hit. Isyana also has superb talent in playing the piano, saxophone and flute.

Sunday, November 6 : Bubugiri

Bubugiri is an Indonesian acoustic duo consists of two best friends Bubu and Giri. Happened to make a casual acquaintance in High School, they met again in 2007 and played music together in some Cafés for some reguler performances and events in Bandung and Jakarta. In October 1st last year, they released their very first album entitled “Music Eveyday”. The musical concept on this album is “a little bit of everything” a touch of folk, jazz, blues, urban and ethnic are presented in a “tight” and “groovy” minimalist music arrangements.

Sunday, November 20: Trie Utami

Trie Utami Sari, known as Iie, born on January 8, 1968 in Bandung is a singer and songwriter. Since 1972-1986, with her two brothers, Purwa Tjaraka and Thea Ika Ratna, she practiced piano and joined musical education at Bina Mustika Bandung in 1978. Her professional career started with Krakatau, a famous jazz group band where she created her first album in 1986 called First Album. Her hit singles include “Kau Datang”, “Untuk Ayah dan Ibu”, “Nurlela 1″ and “Nurlela 2″. Trie Utami’s poularity soared as she became judge for Akademi Fantasi Indosiar in 2004-2006 with her nickname Miss Pitch Control.
