Bali Inspirasi.The existence of female artist exhibitions is always attractive, not only because they are rare but also the spirit behind their creations always brings a different perspective, especially in handling and applying artistic medias visually.
These three Balinese female painters, who are also consequently mothers, exhibit their works of art at Santrian Art Gallery Sanur themed “Motherland”.
Motherland is an exhibition that exploration artistic elements, both in terms of artistic value and content as a form of the theme interpretation. Each have their own unique way in interpreting the theme through visual exploration, according to each of their own manifestation characteristic and tendency.
The artists are Ni Nyoman Sani who has a Bachelor of Arts education from STSI/ISI Denpasar, Gusti Ketut Oka Armini who has a Bachelor of Arts in graphic art from FSRD ISI Yogyakarta and Ni Ketut Ayu Sri Wardani at the moment is studying painting at FSDR ITB Bandung. Their educational background is the foundation for their creative process, with choice of media and visualization respectively.
The theme motherland is visualized by their artistic talents which show different expressions. In Nyoman Sani’s art pieces, through gesture and color compositions, typically express the self-appreciation as both an artist and a mother. Gusti Oka Armini’s art pieces displays in the line streaks carved in lino media with chipped out print technique (reduction print), describing poetic wild plant compositions.
While in Ayu Sri Wardani’s art pieces, the stroke of brush oil painting describes the inner shock of a mother who realizes how life is very difficult, manifested in the natural metaphor of the famous lake Toba.bali inspirasi
