1st Winner of PR Simpatik

In collaboration with THK Awards, The Foundation of Tri Hita Karana (THK) Bali holds the routine annual event which is Elections of Public Relation Simpatik THK (PR Simpatik THK) in 2016. After through a written test and interview, about knowledge of Public Relations (PR) and how to implement the concept of Tri Hita Karana in hotel management environment, finally the announcement of PR Simpatik THK 2016 has been announced at the night conferment of Tri Hita Karana Awards 2016. More than 20 participants joined this competition came from Bali Hotels and Resorts which have been divided into 2 categories; Management level and staff level. Through this memorable Event, Hotel Vila Lumbung and The ONE Legian proudly present another award achieved by Ms. Ni Putu Eka Widiani as First Winner staff level of PR Simpatik 2016. The name of Ms. Ni Putu Eka Widiani  must be very familiar at Hotel Vila Lumbung managed by The ONE Legian. Dedicated herself as a Account Receivable for back office makes her to be a center of all income received in Hotel Vila Lumbung. It’s truly her challenge considering her back office position however under consistent advisor and guidance from committee as well her active involvement on majority Tri Hita Karana activities, she found the soul of Tri Hita Karana through her daily professional and personal activities. As a mom with 1 kid, she also proves that being PR Simpatik is not only for front office but also same opportunity with back office as long as implementing Tri Hita Karana feeling to balance their life. Being the first winner of PR Simpatik 2016 definitely will make her implement Tri Hita Karana not only at Hotel Vila Lumbung but also in Bali Tourism Industry.

About Tri Hita Karana implementation

The Tri Hita Karana Awards were initiated over a decade ago and endorsed by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) in 2004. The name is derived from the Hindu philosophical principles of ‘Tri Hita Karana’, a fundamental concept in the Balinese community where balance in life is maintained through the harmonious relationship between man and God, man and fellow man, and man and the environment. This philosophy is reflected through the Community and Social Responsibility (CSR) programs of The ONE Legian.
Among the hotels, The ONE Legian was proud to be receiving this award for the second time, an outstanding addition to its growing number of accolades. They attainment of Emerald status is testament to the hotel’s strong commitment towards the environment, especially its support of the local Banjar village community in Legian area. Through the awards, not only The ONE Legian, but also Hotel Vila Lumbung has developed Tri Hita Karana activity in their Balinese Hospitality through Parahyangan (relationship between Human and God), Pawongan (relationship between Human and Human), and Palemahan (relationship between Human and Environment ).

 Achieving an second Emerald Category for Tri Hita Karana Tourism Award 2016 by Tri Hita Karana Foundation for The ONE Legian is definitely making The Platinum TEAM The ONE Legian and Hotel Vila Lumbung implement TRI HITA KARANA in daily operational as a concept of The ONE Legian as well as Hotel Vila Lumbung by achieving third time of Gold status this year. Inspired from The Mighty God (Mahadeva) Religion (now is called as Hindu religion), The Hotel designed its Unique Selling Point through consistent implementation of Tri Hita Karana in daily service and hotel operational philosophy.  Tri Hita Karana is a traditional philosophy for life which also known as “Three Reasons for prosperity to achieve harmony” in the Island of Bali, Indonesia.
